What's with the Racket?

What's with the Racket is an in-person interactive mystery experience, co-created with Paige Senter. High school students were challenged with solving the mystery of the Drama teacher's missing tennis racket. We worked with the faculty of our school to make a puzzle in which each teacher had an alibi for where they were on the night of the robbery. Students had to go to their classrooms, scan QR codes on the doors, and watch videos of interviews with each teacher. Then they must answer the a question from 3 different teachers to get 3 clues every day. Using the information from the clues they were able to tell who's alibis were the truth and who stole the tennis racket. This was my first big game project.

To get people on board with this project, Paige and I spoke to all 72 teachers at our school to explain our project and asked if they wanted to participate. We got 58 of them to say yes, and continued to keep them in the loop for the rest of our 7 month development cycle. After meeting with our principle to approve our project and marketing it on the school news and through announcements, we ran it as a fundraiser for student council.

Meet the team!
